Telling your Story
Telling your story is vulnerability. Flexing soul muscle to convert the emotion, pain, joy, wonder, awe and longing into spoken words, is not easy. As we know, but maybe haven't felt, nearly all good things aren't easy, but worth it. Doing the work to form into words the memories that are only half clear, adds clarity and mastery to self. Forcing the mind to convert memory and felt emotion into words submits the body to the mind and more importantly the body and mind to the heart. From that place, that beautiful place, the mind and body are in union or oneness with the heart. From that place, your true self is able to emerge, like a deer from the far side of the clearing on a still fall night. Slowly, cautiously, mind alive, body engaged, heart beating.
